The water plant supervision meeting was not held in the meeting room this time.
The main structure has been completed, so we went directly to the site: standing among the concrete beams and columns, we checked the placement of the PLC equipment level by level. For the piping, we did not just review the drawings; we walked the actual route from start to finish.
Conclusion first: the more closely the drawings and site conditions are checked against each other, the stronger the basis the automation contractor will have for its drawings later. Which column the equipment is installed against, which beam the cable tray passes under, how much maintenance space to reserve—if these are not settled on paper, they can only be adjusted during installation once work starts.
Each look up and down under a safety helmet was to settle “where to install and how to route” on paper first.
Sunlight comes in from the side of the columns, and the site’s progress is written underfoot.
